Mel's Bio...

I had to stop and think here for a second, do you want the truth, or shall I blow up my whole entire 36 yrs, of exsistance and make me look good?
I was born into the world on.... oh no, not that kind of truth, like I mean who really cares?

My start in the music and entertainment field probally brings back memories of my dad playing the guitar, sitting at the campfire on a lazy weekend, while my mother belted out some terrific Tammy Wynette songs! Dad complained about the new generation, and sang Hank Williams tunes in between.

Until a few years ago, I was a shower singer myself... but lately, the kids won't let me! No, I did not inherit any musical ability from my gifted family, but I did learn early in life, that the more people I dragged over to that old campfire, the hotter the sound got!

So.... Marketing, Sales, Promotions,Advertising... is where you found me then, and continue to do so.. In the Elvis world!

I opened a store called "Yesteryears", based on the 50's and 60's, classic cars, and Elvis.

I was International President and part time agent for Darren Lee, Canadian Elvis Tribute Artist.

I started, designed, and released my own business,Presley Promotions which was based for Donna Presley, Elvis' first cousin, whom I managed for a short time.

I promote, market, and work with London England based, actor/entertainer/Elvis Tribute Artist, Mario

I promote all Elvis Tribute Artists to the best of my ability for the memory and love of Elvis Presley.

I also work on behalf of other entertainers and bands to promote their shows, and abilities.
Occasionally you will find me doing some sound work for them also.

I write regularly to promote Elvis Music and the men who make the memories happen... over and over again!

Well, that sums up my life. I should mention that I live in a small community in BC, Canada, where I am supported by my sweetheart Rod, and my 3 wonderful girls.

Until we meet again...
TCE,
Melody

A man once said...
Until you've stood in that man's shoes or saw through his eyes,or stood and watched with helpless hands, while the heart inside you dies... So help your brother along the way, no matter where he starts... For the same god that made you, made him too... these men with broken hearts..

June's Bio...

My first memory of Elvis was the day I heard "Heartbreak Hotel," when I was only 13. He was in Kansas City, but all the papers said he was vulgar, so I wasn't allowed to go. My, how times have changed. Yes I was a teenybopper, complete with poodle skirts, rolled up jeans, saddle shoes, drive inns and sock hops, and I'm proud of it. Elvis was a big part of my life way back then, and he always will be.

Right out of high school, I became a young wife, and had two children. My first big job was that of a laboratory assistant in a large hospital.

In 1978 I fulfilled my life long dream and we purchased the pet shop I'd always wanted. In the beginning Mike and Shelly (yes after Shelly Fabares) helped me run the business. Then Mike received a job offer from a local pet supply company and Shelly took off for Hollywood to chase her dreams of becoming a model, and changed her name to Shelli.

Today Mike is in regional sales for a large pet supply company and lives in St. Louis Missouri, with a lovely wife Sarah. They have given us two wonderful grandchildren, Cory and Megan , who we are devoting our lives to spoiling rotten. Luckily, St. Louis is only 4 hours drive so we keep I-70 well traveled.

Shelli has been in numerous magazines all over the world , as well as been in rock videos, TV commercials and a few small (non-talking) movie parts. She spends her spare time partying with celebrities. I just listen with my mouth open.

In 1998 I decided to sell the pet shop, and try my hand at becoming a full time writer. After being lucky enough to have articles accepted in pet magazines and a few cutesy things my kids and grandkids said I decided to approach Suite 101.com with a column on Elvis Presley. They loved the idea and now with a readership averaging 1,300 a day I've also worked my way up to Senior Managing Editor, and loving every minute of it. One of the best things that has come out of writing the Elvis Column is the wonderful friendships I have made over the last 2 1/2 years.

To be honest, like most of you, I wasn't into tribute artists until a few years ago. Since then I have seen some remarkable artists, that have totally turned around my way of thinking. Now I'm ready to walk, run, or swim to a tribute artist concert at the drop of a hat. I'm even running my second online fan club. The first was my buddy Travis DeVall and after seeing Mario in Memphis during Elvis week, I now have an online fan club for him.

And now life is leading me down yet another path as Melody and I join together to bring you a cozy little place where the coffee pots always on. So put up your feet and read about all those wonderful guys that help us keep the memories alive. We all know there'll never be another Elvis, but these guys do a wonderful job of helping us to keep those fires going.

If your favorite isn't in this book its only because we haven't found him yet.
